We answer questions about how the app works. For anything about your own account, shifts or data, start with your agency: it runs the server that holds your data and manages your login.
Signing in
GDF Connect has no public sign-up. Your agency creates your account and gives you three things: an organization code, a username and a password. Enter the organization code on the first screen, then sign in. If you do not have a code, ask your agency's office.
Forgot your password? Ask your agency's office to reset it. On Android you can also tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.
Common questions
Why does the app track my location?
Only while you are clocked in to a shift, so your agency and the client for the site can see that the property was patrolled. Tracking stops when you clock out. A notification (Android) or the location indicator (iPhone) shows whenever it is on. See the privacy policy for the details.
It says I'm outside the site when I try to clock in.
Clock-in checks that you are at the property. Move closer to the site and try again, or enter a reason when the app asks, and your supervisor will review it.
The body cam won't start.
The body cam needs camera and microphone permission. Allow both in your phone's Settings for GDF Connect, then try again. It records only while you have it started.
How do I delete my account or data?
Your account belongs to your agency, so ask its office. It can deactivate your account; employment and payroll records are kept as the law requires. See “Deleting your data” in the privacy policy.
